M&O becomes a member of the technical naval cluster in Rio de Janeiro.
We are pleased to communicate that M&O has joined the Naval Technological Cluster of Rio de Janeiro – an association that brings together companies and organizations within the maritime and offshore segments, with the mission to develop and improve naval activities in the region.
Sustainable and safer operations in the State of Rio de Janeiro
Based on more than 14 years of experience in the naval industry in Brazil, M&O intends to contribute to the Cluster’s work in developing the naval activities in Rio de Janeiro with our technical knowledge and the know-how of over 30 international maritime companies that are part of the M&O group’s supplier portfolio.
The collaboration between M&O and the Cluster will take off in August in Rio de Janeiro at Latin America’s most important maritime exhibition, Navalshore. Both M&O and the Cluster will be exhibiting at the show promoting innovative solutions for the naval industry.
One of the first steps in contributing to the development of the Cluster’s activities is focusing on M&O’s cutting-edge solutions for more sustainable and safer operations in the State of Rio de Janeiro.
Among the solutions, we highlight the Norwegian consulting company, Metizoft that provides ESG, LCA, IHM & Chemical Solutions for a circular economy in the maritime industry.

The solutions offered by Metizoft are fundamental for suppliers, shipowners and shipyards to become compliant with the new Rio de Janeiro law regarding ship recycling that was approved recently.
Besides ship recycling and IHM solutions, M&O will also be focusing on oil spill detection and how to avoid incidents that can be harmful to the environment and the people living in Rio de Janeiro.
