Our history

The beginning – “Bridging the Gap” for foreign companies entering Brazil.

M&O was founded in Rio de Janeiro in 2009, as a part of the Inventure Management group of companies. Our objective was to be the preferred partner for maritime and offshore companies wanting to do business in Brazil. This included market research, strategy development and local company establishment, all while developing opportunities for our
clients in a transparent and ethical manner.

With the continued growth of the Brazilian maritime and offshore markets, we identified a demand for more qualified local technical sales support, and M&O Partners developed its focus as a representation company with a focus on offering equipment, services and software to the maritime, offshore and subsea industries.

Being founded by Norwegians, it was only natural to start off with Scandinavian clients looking to enter the Brazilian market. Today, however, we are working with clients from all over the world to enable growth and market access.

During the past 10 years, we have executed local company establishment/management services in Brazil for over 30 international companies and supported more than 100 corporations with their business development and sales strategy globally.

For already established companies in this challenging market, we have also successfully executed full restructuring and turn-around projects, based on the same pillars on which we build and develop companies.

In 2017, we started the development of a new global concept, which is based on a systematic methodology providing suppliers with one partner for a multi-market approach for more effective market penetration.
Thanks to a sustainable approach to entering new markets and by means of a sales team with great technical knowledge, we are enabling suppliers in the energy and maritime industry to expand their business in an efficient manner.

We now have presence in Norway, USA, Brazil and Singapore, considered the main global hubs for our business. Here we can provide local market knowledge and access to decision makers, in addition to working global sales strategies across borders, targeting specific segments like the FPSO or Drilling segments. Our vision is to be the preferred Sales Partner for Suppliers in the Global marketplace, and our business model is even more relevant now with more challenges for business travels across the world.
