M&O provides M&A advisory to K. Lund in Imenco acquisition.
M&O Partners acted as a Sell-Side advisor for Norwegian K. Lund Offshore AS in the sale of its Brazilian subsidiary (K. Lund do Brasil) to Norwegian Imenco AS.
K. Lund do Brasil was established in 2005 and has a strong market position in servicing and leasing of lifting and handling equipment to the offshore energy industry, as well as on- and offshore service personnel.
Imenco is a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions for the global offshore, marine, and renewable energy sectors, and has acquired K Lund do Brasil to expand its footprint in Brazil. And as stated by Geir Egil Østebøvik, Chairman of Imenco “will enable us to further develop our capabilities in Brazil, as well as provide us with additional resources to support the growing demand for our products and services.”
“We are pleased to have participated in this sale assisting K. Lund with sell-side advisory, creating significant buyer interest from both local companies in Brazil and among international companies looking to enter, or strengthen their position in the Brazilian market”, says the Head of M&A Advisory in M&O, Per Dysjaland.
With more than 14 years in the Brazilian market, M&O has a broad network and a deep understanding of the maritime and offshore markets, combined with significant international experience in finance. This combination positions M&O to provide guidance throughout the entire M&A process, from identifying potential targets/buyers and facilitating due diligence, negotiating the terms of the transaction, and closing.
“We see a growing interest in Brazil, and mergers and acquisitions are ways for international companies to establish themselves or grow and expand their operations in a strategic way”, says Per Dysjaland.
