We’re looking for a Sales Representative in Houston

About the role:
Based in Houston, you will be part of an international team of Maritime & Offshore industry experts, situated in Norway, USA, Brazil and Singapore.
As a Sales Representative you will work independently on promoting and selling products/services to existing and prospective customers in the marine and offshore market on the Gulf Coast (Owners of: Ships, Drilling Rigs, Fixed Installations, Repair Shipyards).
You will proactively create and follow up sales opportunities by telephone, personal visits and email – continuously reporting progress in CRM and to the Global Sales Director.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support.
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes according to plan.
• Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
• Manage reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Required Experience & Skills:
• Higher technical education or proven relevant experience with technical products and solutions for the marine and offshore industry.
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
• Proven work experience as Sales Representative towards over minimum 5 years in the above defined market segments (Owners of: Ships, Drilling Rigs, Fixed Installations, Repair Shipyards).
• Proven work experience with technical products and solutions.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business relationships.
• Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
• Ability to adjust to constant changes in work situations.
• Customer service skills.
• Continuously improve through feedback.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
