  • Erik has worked with international business development over the last 18 years and has developed 200+ strategy internationalization projects over this time.
  • Before he co-founded M&O in 2009, Erik headed Innovation Norway’s activities in Latin America, out of the regional headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. Erik held the position as Managing Director of the Rio de Janeiro office since 2001.
  • In the first years of his career he was engaged as a consultant for Accenture in Norway, also in international business implementation projects.
  • Erik is specialized with international business development, with in-depth knowledge and focus in the oil, gas and offshore sectors.
  • Erik holds a Master of Science in Business degree from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen in 1997.
  • He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Norwegian.
  • Jan Ramberg

  • Jan has worked globally with international business development since 1998 and co-founded M&O in 2009. He has had key roles for strategic clients like Kongsberg Maritime and Axess.
  • As Managing Director for Axess’ Brazilian subsidiary, Jan took the local operation to profitability in less than two years.
  • In 2010, Jan proceeded to lead Axess’ international expansion, and was instrumental in the establishments in Houston, Singapore and Cape Town.
  • Jan has an extensive sales network in the offshore industry, including all main FPSO and Drilling contractors.
  • Before M&O, Jan led business development activities in Latin America and Europe for Motorola.
  • Jan holds a MS degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Admin. (NHH) and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.
  • He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, English, German and Norwegian.
  • Riza Batista
    Riza Batista
    PARTNER & CFO

  • Riza has over 20 years of experience managing and starting up Brazilian companies in several industries and co-founded M&O in 2009.
  • She has a vast practical knowledge within finance, supply chain management, general administration and IT areas.
  • At M&O, she was responsible for the financial, administrative and start-up processes of more than 20 subsidiaries of international companies doing business in Brazil, including Kongsberg, Axess, OSEP and Instituto SINTEF.
  • She holds an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), a Specialization in Foreign Trade from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ ) and Corporate Training and Project Management in Companies by FIRJAN-IEL / COPPE-UFRJ.
  • Riza is fluent in Portuguese and English.

  • Jan has worked with international business development over the last 25 years in both public and private companies. 
  • Jan has developed and implemented several growth strategies for public as well as for private companies.
  • Jan has been sitting in several global and local advisory councils for global top 100 companies like IBM and Microsoft.
  • Jan has been part of several successful exits to both private and public companies. 
  • Jan has been chief executive for companies based in Europe, North America and South America. 
  • Jan has executive board experience in publicly and privately owned companies in several business areas and industries.
  • Jan received a Master degree in Political Science at the Danish Military Academy in Copenhagen in 1995.
  • Jan is fluent in English, German and Danish and speaks Portuguese.

  • Anderson has more than 13 years of experience within sales and business development in the oil and gas industry.
  • Before entering in the oil and gas industry, he worked at Xerox do Brazil where he held different positions as software specialist and product and marketing manager.
  • Since 2002, Anderson has been involved with sales strategy and business development for international companies in the Brazilian oil and gas industry.
  • Anderson has an extensive sales network in the Brazilian oil and gas industry, having participated in several projects in the subsea and offshore sectors.
  • Anderson holds a MBA in Marketing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Master degree in Telecommunication Systems from PUC-RJ, Post Graduation in Computer Networks from Unesa and Electronic Engineering from Universidade Veiga de Almeida.
  • He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
  • Roar Berge
    Roar Berge
    PARTNER & CTO

  • Roar has worked with international technical sales and international project development for the last 18 years.
  • Roar joined the M&O team in Norway in January 2017, where he took on the position as partner and Chief Technology Officer.
  • Previously Roar has held various positions for Framo Flatøy AS in Norway, lately as a part of the multinational company Alfa Laval.
  • Roar comes from a position as head of the Project Department, and has been a part of the Framo Flatøy Management Group for 10 years.
  • Roar received a Master of Science in Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 1997.
  • Roar is fluent in English and Norwegian.
